«Young Historians of the Urals»

The organization was established in order to provide financial and organizational assistance to the implementation of research and educational initiatives of young (under 39 years old) historians of the Sverdlovsk region, the Ural Federal District, the Russian Federation, to involve scientific youth in scientific and social practice

The subject of the Organization’s activity

  • Conducting and supporting fundamental, exploratory and applied scientific research in the field of history, archeology, ethnology and literary criticism
  • Holding scientific conferences, seminars, symposiums and congresses of various levels (international, all-Russian, regional) in order to present the scientific achievements of young historians of the Ural Federal District and the Russian Federation among professional and civil communities
  • Organization of exhibition activities, presentations; design and creation of museum expositions
  • Providing analytical, expert, informational support to interested parties in the field of history, archeology, ethnology and literary criticism
  • Participation in international activities in the field of public diplomacy in order to organize the interaction of young historians of the Ural Federal District and the Russian Federation with scientific youth and the scientific community of near and far abroad

PUBLISHING ACTIVITIES

The organization publishes a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific «Historical Geography Journal».
The journal was founded in 2022 by the decision of the Organizing Committee of the Scientific Workshop on historical geography in the city of Ekaterinburg to disseminate the results of the latest research in the field of historical geography, as well as create a platform for broad discussion and debate in the field of historical and spatial research.
